FAQ #EV #ElectricVehicle #Charging

Electric vehicle charging is available to our contract holders and customers staying in our holiday cottages only. Usage must be booked and paid for in advance as the charging systems are disabled when not in use and are remotely controlled and monitored.

To connect your car to our EV charging point you will require a charging cable with a type 2 (BS EN 62196-2) connector.

Power rating of our charging points varies by location but typically 7kW fast chargers are available in shared or over spill parking areas and dedicated slow 3.7kW chargers are fitted at some of our houses.

Once the charging unit has been enabled by us the charging process is simple - just plug in as normal and commence charging from your vehicle.

We will be automatically notified should a fault develop during the charging process and we will contact you by mobile to assist.

Electric vehicles must only ever be connected to our designated mode 3 electric vehicle charging points fitted with type 2 socket outlet compliant with BS EN 62196-2. The connection of electric vehicles to any other socket (such as BS1363 socket or industrial BS EN 60309 socket), either directly or through any adapter, is prohibited for safety reasons.
